Grapevine Public Library Interlibrary Loan

Did you know that you can request materials that we don’t have in our collection from libraries throughout the country? You can request books, DVDs, sound recordings, and books on CD. Expect two to six weeks for items to arrive. We will notify you if the item that you requested is not available or when the item you asked for has arrived. Please note that media materials (DVD, CD, etc.) and new releases of books are harder to get through another library.

You can print a copy of the form and drop it off at the Reference Desk, or you can fill out the online form, and it will be emailed to a librarian.

Search Worldcat to see if the book you want is located at another library. You will need your Texshare Password to get in. Most libraries in the world use this service, however, just because a library shows that it owns it does not mean that the library is willing to lend it.

The Grapevine Public Library provides Interlibrary Loan service available to active Grapevine Public Library cardholders.

Please note:

  • ILL customers will be charged for photocopies, and any late fees or lost item fees as calculated by the lending library.

  • All ILL account holders must provide an email address or telephone number.

  • ILL account holders may have no more than 10 active requests at a time.
